After a stint in Toronto as a copywriter, Andrew has come home to Halifax to join the Tramp fam for a fresh creative challenge and some refreshing ocean air. Or as he puts it, “to do great work, with good people, in the best part of the world”, and we can’t say we blame him.
Outside of the office, when Andrew isn’t at his desk cracking briefs, you’ll likely find him cracking jokes or crunching numbers behind his slow-to-grow guitar collection. Hey, two is still a collection, right?
You know those guys in the control room at NASA who are always so calm, cool and collected no matter what chaos may be going on around them? Adam is our NASA guy. His title, “Controller” could not be more accurate. In the midst of a fast-paced, creative, demanding and, yes, even crazy, environment, Adam remains grounded and in control. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a wild side. Ask him about his “Bubbles” report and then stand back as this guy gets pretty excited when talking about his “baby”.
When Adam was a little boy growing up in England, he didn’t dream of becoming a guard at Buckingham Palace or Bond, James Bond. No, he dreamt of coming to Canada, starting a hockey league (floor hockey, but hockey is hockey!) and scoring his first ever goal, as a Canadian citizen. Check, check and check—hey, it’s a hat trick! Well played Adam, well played. You really and truly are Canadian.
Rob brings over two decades of experience in public relations, working in the agency world and in government — with clients ranging from billion-dollar multinationals to small local businesses. Rob vowed he’d never become a consultant. Until he did, followed by a stint leading an international education co-operative. From there, Rob made the jump to Trampoline. With him came a curiosity for change and a drive to improve the performance and decision-making of his clients.
In his spare time, you can find Rob at the rink or near the baseball diamond cheering on his son.? Sometimes you’ll see him on television or hear him on radio talking about everything from current events to politics. For a little extracurricular fun, Rob also enjoys helping local organizations at the board level, having chaired the boards for both the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and Neptune Theatre.
If you asked Danielle her purpose, she might tell you she’s here to help people. A lifetime Haligonian, Danielle is a people person through and through with a ton of service industry experience to prove it. After a four-year stint in management for the Aldo Group, Danielle worked the restaurant Chameleon where she continued to hone her service skills before joining the team at Trampoline.
Danielle has always been inspired by all things travel and fashion, but her biggest inspiration in life is her beautiful daughter Aubrey. But when Danielle isn’t on mom duty, she’s probably scouring Instagram for the latest trends and travel inspo. Her best trip? Milan, where she lived like a local and soaked up the sun (and of course, lots of prosecco).
If Larry was a superhero, his name would be The Connector. Or Smootherman. That last one sounds a little weird, but it’s true. Allow us to explain. Larry manages the flow of work from the brief to production. And that means he keeps all the different teams working together—The Connector—in order to ensure timelines and budgets remain on track. He’s also all about finding solutions and removing roadblocks so that people, and projects, can be the best they can be. See? Smootherman—to the rescue!
Smart, enlightened people know that Nova Scotia is the best place on earth. Eight years ago, a light bulb went off over Larry’s head and guided him east, from Calgary to Halifax. He traded in his cowboy hat for a sou’wester and, we have to say, never has a sou’wester been worn quite so stylishly. But the hat theme doesn’t end there! Larry also sports a helmet when he’s riding his motorcycle along coastal roads, looking for beauty to capture with his camera and he has found Nova Scotia to be very accommodating.
Ever the organizer, Rachael is self-professed lover of lists. And the first item on her list after high school was to complete her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Mount Allison University. With a move back to Halifax, Rachael joined the Tramp team as an Account Coordinator where her ability to keep everyone on task and her daily weather reports have not gone unnoticed. Ask anyone on the team—the forecast for Rachael here at Tramp is a bright one.
At home, Rachael is never far from the world of sports. When she’s not setting up serves on the volleyball court with her fellow Tramp team (The Volley Llamas), you can find her in front of the TV praying for bat-flips and late inning dingers as she watches her favourite team in the AL East: The Jays.
A Halifax native,?Mary?is the most recent addition to our social media team. After spending time working for a professional sports team,?Mary?made the move to Trampoline to help our clients connect, engage and grow their brands on every social platform.?She believes that with more than 73% of people around the world using social media every day, it's no passing trend!
When Mary’s not updating the daily “What’s Trending” board, you can normally find her working out at a spin class or searching for her favourite new brunch hotspot. But before she does either, she likes to walk her cocker spaniel, Delilah around the neighbourhood for the perfect cup of local coffee.
Carolyn graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 2013 with a major in Criminology, before completing her certificate of Human Resource Management in 2014. Since then, Carolyn’s made it her mission to build supportive relationships in the workplace and to help keep the office a happy, healthy place for everyone.
Outside the office, Carloyn’s still all ears. That’s because she spends a ton of time with her headphones in discovering new music and building the perfect playlists for many coastal hikes with her dog, Dax.
If you’ve seen it, he’s probably shot it. With over 10 years’ experience in the television industry, André has travelled the globe producing content for the likes of Travel Channel US, HGTV, History, Discovery Canada, Food Network, W Network, and more. And he’s done it all while wearing multiple hats (and using multiple lenses, we’d imagine).
For most people, any amount of time spent in airport is too much. But for some weird reason, André just can’t get enough. Maybe it’s the endless hallways or the overpriced candy, but for Andre, the old adage “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey” must really ring true. But fortunately for us—and our clients—André really loves the destination, too. And he’s got the footage to prove it.
With 8 years at the Atlantic Film Festival under his belt as a film programmer, Mark “Filmdall” Flindall brings two things to Trampoline: an incredibly vast knowledge of all things movie-related, and a name that’s almost too easy to pun. But thanks to Mark’s passion for the pictures and his data expertise, our small-but-mighty video department continues to pack quite the punch.
When Mark’s not scrubbing through hundreds—and we mean hundreds—of hours of video footage, he’s either spending all of his free time with his wife, Trina, and his daughter, Etta. That, or vehemently defending the finale of Lost to anyone who will listen. It’s been almost ten years, Mark. Let it go…
As President, Leslie oversees the client service group overall and currently leads the Saint Mary’s University, NSLC and Halifax Shopping Centre accounts. With 25+ years experience at ad agencies on both coasts, Leslie understands how to help clients build their brands at all consumer touch points. She also has a reputation for building and maintaining bullet-proof relationships with her clients that range from collegial partnerships to after work BFFs.
When Leslie isn’t working her butt off for clients, she’s skiing it off - and the steeper and deeper the powder, the better. A little bit of an adrenaline junky is a little bit of an understatement. For Leslie, the only thing better than hitting the slopes is hitting the slopes with Mark and their two sons. Not only does she love experiencing the thrill of fresh powder with her family, she loves having three people to race and beat to the bottom (which is generally followed by a victory dance that, in skis, is a sight to behold).
As CEO, Mark oversees the strategic planning process in the development of each client’s brand. If you were to ask Mark about his career arc he would characterize it like this: he spent the first 20 years of his career trying to make himself indispensable to his co-workers and clients. He now spends his time making himself completely disposable. After all, Mark’s objective in building Trampoline is to create something bigger than himself. A legacy that will endure beyond any single career in marketing & advertising.
Mark is a serious cyclist. We don’t mean he ponders the meaning of life while pedaling. Rather, he has racked up some serious mileage since first being bit by the cycling bug five years ago. He has cycled over 200km in one day and has about 10,000km, in total, under his belt. Which he doesn’t wear while cycling. Because a belt with spandex would be just plain weird.
A PR graduate from MSVU, Hannah is the most recent addition to our social media team. After completing an internship in Australia, she knew agency life was the life for her. However, she also knew Halifax was where her heart was—so she returned home and soon set about helping our clients sing in the social sphere. Sorry not sorry Australia!
Besides hanging with her pup Hendrix, outside the office, Hannah is always looking for new experiences to share. Whether travelling abroad or giving the city’s trendiest restaurants a try, Hannah lives by a simple maxim: do it for the ‘gram.
Whether it’s a grassroots brewery in Halifax, a fashion line in Spain, or a real estate brand in Toronto — Brittany is a passionate art director who is driven to create exceptional, results-driven conceptual work for her clients. While earning her Bachelor of Design at NSCAD University, she expanded her industry knowledge while studying marketing at Ryerson University. A traveler at heart, Brittany then moved to Germany to study Communication Design at The University of Mannheim, and later to Spain where she interned at the fashion-centric UNO Design Studio. After returning home to work in the agency world in Toronto, she found Halifax calling her back. We’re thrilled she answered the call.
When Brittany isn’t telling brand stories through stunning visuals, she loves to stay active by kickboxing and practicing ballet. She will not go a day without a tea or coffee and some old-school tunes. A true smarty-pants, she also speaks four languages. And she loves bread. While living in Germany, Brittany’s nickname was “Brot” (German for bread) or “Brottany” because she was forever bringing bread to class.
Nicola is a seasoned media professional with more than eight years’ experience in strategic media planning and buying, specializing in digital media. Certified in Google Ads Search, Nicola has a deep understanding of both digital and traditional media landscapes. Whether her clients are based locally or abroad, Nicola works reliably with partners to develop a sound approach to reaching any audience.
Although Nicola spends most of her day in the digital world, at home, she takes every opportunity she can to unplug. Most often, this means relaxing with her cat for some serious Netflix binging, or catching live music whenever she can. On those nights, her cat stays home.
If you walk by Sarah’s desk and see Facebook open all day long, don’t worry. Likes, shares, favourites, and pins are all in a day’s work for Sarah. A Halifax-native and graduate of Acadia?University’s Business program, Sarah is a huge part of the Trampoline social media team. With a major in marketing under her belt, Sarah is passionate about all facets of social media, from planning and strategy, to finding meaningful and engaging ways to implement the latest?and greatest social media features, one post at a time.
Her major might be marketing, but we think Sarah definitely missed her calling as a professional baker. Fuelled by one wicked sweet tooth, Sarah spends most of her free time up to her elbows in flour and sugar, whipping up some seriously tasty treats.? But don't take our word for it...
In Nadine’s own words, she is “hella driven” and no one here would argue with that. And one of the things that hella drives her most is working closely with clients to help them uncover deep truths about their brands that will result in creating memorable and results-driven work, together. “Together” is the key word as Nadine has a reputation for building strong relationships with clients, built on mutual respect and trust. So when she pushes back, clients know she’s just not trying to get all up their grill, she’s steering them towards more meaningful and powerful communications.
Because we are really enjoying saying “hella driven” let’s talk about what “hella drives” Nadine when she’s not working her butt off for her clients. Where to start... Nadine is a die-hard “maker” both out of love and necessity. If she can’t find what she’s looking for, she makes it, from leather and wool laptop sleeves to macramé plant hangers. She even teamed up with other local makers to open a shop called Second Storey, when she realized she was making more things than she could possibly keep. It was either open a store or buy a bigger condo.
Numbers and dates. Numbers and dates everywhere. For Megan, an unnatural ability to keep track of every project, every key date, and every timeline is the easy part of the job. Must be nice, eh? A Halifax native and proud X grad, Megan brings a steady head, a calm demeanor, and a bright smile to every project she touches.
From hiking, to traveling, to yoga, Megan is always on the go. Although, between October and May, there’s only one place to find Megan: in front of the television, cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Being—quite possibly—LeBron James’ number one fan on the planet, she proudly sports a #23 jersey amidst the sea of Raps fans here in Halifax. An athlete for most of her life, Megan’s competitive streak doesn’t just shine when watching the Cavs — let’s just say that who knew a game of cards with friends could get so intense?
If Raz had a place on the USS Enterprise, he’d probably play none other than Data. Hailing from Toronto, our Media Director has built a career around data, and more specifically, how it can help deliver more measurable business outcomes for every client. A digital native at heart, Raz approaches every creative opportunity with a vehicle-agnostic mindset and the belief the medium is more than the message. Sometimes, it’s the big idea. And we’re glad to have him aboard.
When Raz isn’t exploring the far reaches of data and the digital landscape, you’ll likely find him exploring the far reaches of the globe. An avid traveler, Raz’s exploratory nature has led him hiking in Colombia, island-hopping in Greece, and perhaps coolest of all, exploring Dubrovnik’s imposing castle walls. Not sure where that is? You might know it better as Game of Thrones’ King’s Landing.
During his 16-year career, Trevor has worked at some of Atlantic Canada’s most respected agencies and served an impressive roster of clients including, Agropur, Captain Morgan (Diageo), Cineplex, Moosehead Breweries, Bell Aliant, NSLC, Pizza Delight, Proctor & Gamble, Saputo, Saint Mary’s University, Tourism Nova Scotia, Worker’s Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and many, many more. He is proud to have received more than 30 Ice Awards, an Applied Arts award, and had four campaigns showcased in the international juried advertising archive, Ads of the World
Trevor never completely clocks out, but when he heads home, he marvels at how fast his kids Asher and Aviva grow, and their unending capacity to amaze, amuse and challenge him. Most nights after the house gets quiet, you’ll find him sitting in the kitchen reading mystery novels. When Friday swings around, he can be found playing with his indie-rock dad band or trying to augment his income via five dollar games of rummy 500.
A seasoned marketer and expert planner with two decade’s experience in strategy, insights and experiential marketing, Sara’s been hard at work for some of the biggest brands in North America. In that time, she’s been driven by a desire to glean deeper insights and mentor those who need her help. How does she do it all? She’s always got a plan.
At home, Sara’s something of a planner as well. From weekday menus, to school fundraising events and extracurricular support, Sara’s always got a spreadsheet for something close by. See? Sometimes it pays to excel at Excel.
There’s no one quite like Stephanie. No, really. We dare you to find someone else in Halifax who shares her digital chops, her passion for all things performance measurement, or her rank in World of Warcraft. Along with Google Certifications for Advertising and Analytics, Stephanie brings a boatload of digital experience (both agency-side and client-side) to Trampoline’s digital media team.
Certifications: Analytics, AdWords Specialist, Mobile Sites
A self-professed nerd, Stephanie never quite leaves the digital world. So, when she’s not optimizing successful campaigns at Trampoline, she’s probably using her max level Paladin status to launch successful World of Warcraft campaigns. And if Stephanie looks a bit familiar? That’s because she used to host an Atlantic Canadian gaming show for Bell TV. That not enough? Follow her on Twitter – Ellen DeGeneres and Billy Zane do.
With more than five years’ experience as an Art Director in the advertising and design industry, Jon believes creativity can play a huge role in making his community a better place for everyone. And that’s something that makes him excited to come to work day in, day out. Always excited to take on new challenges, Jon is the kind of guy who works fast on his feet.
When Jon is not busy creating for his clients, you can find him creating in the community, putting his entrepreneurial spirit to work. In 2011, Jon co-founded Concrete Roots, an organization dedicated to supporting local youth through urban dance. See? We told you he was fast on his feet.
Driven by his passion for creating work that gets people talking, over the past 15 years, Jeff has helped inspire a lot of conversations, and most importantly, impressive results for his clients. Clients that range from the corner barbershop to brands like Unilever, McDonalds, Diageo, Mars Incorporated, Red Cross, UNICEF, and many others. His work has been featured and awarded globally, but he’s most proud of the fact that his two young girls think what he does is cool.
Creativity runs deep in Jeff, and he certainly draws on inspiration from every aspect of life. Walk into his office, and you’ll be met with a collection of ever-changing designer toys, art, and books from all over the world. Of course, his wife and two beautiful young daughters also provide plenty of inspiration — but the books and art don’t emphatically complain about tiny bumps in their sock at 6am.
As a PR graduate from MSVU, Cara has one of the most dangerous jobs of all: engaging with strangers on the internet. But luckily for us, Cara is a total pro who tackles content planning, social strategy, and the occasional internet troll with aplomb. And all of this to make sure that no post ever goes un-posted!
For Cara, life is all about balance. Balancing a healthy appetite for all things fitness with a healthy appetite for all things breakfast, that is. But when she’s not bouncing between in yoga, spin, or barre classes, you’ll likely find Cara exploring every twist and turn of our fair province, doing just about anything to “get the ‘gram”. Breakfast pics included.
